Welcome to MECOM group website

The division of Computational Mechanics (MECOM) belongs to the Applied Research Department which is included in the Applications of Nuclear Technology Area of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA). MECOM group is located in the Bariloche Atomic Center and is comprised of a group of researchers with diverse backgrounds.

The group is dedicated to do research in numerical analysis and to develop and apply numerical tools in various fields of engineering and physics. The main objective of the group is to meet requirements from CNEA, external institutions and industry, solving technological problems and providing calculation tools and training in the area of fluid and solid mechanics.
